Well, we went to the doctor and the doctor said,
"ya got two choices since ya can't take meds.
I can do one more ablation, and if it's not a taker
I'll cut the connections, and leave it to the pacemaker."
Just one last surgery, that's what we understood.
After this, no more surgeries! Sure sounds good!
He'd feel pretty normal from the very start,
But of course, this is always a last resort.
All kiddin' aside, it's a scarey thing,
For the body to depend on such a small machine.
The other choice is keep doin' what he's doin',
And let me tell ya, that ain't a whole lot of livin'.
The choice is obvious, that ain't no lie,
'cause livin' like this, you'd just soon die.
But we have a GOD, and He'll see us thru,
'cause He still has alot for Wayne to do.
So we'll do all we can and give it our best,
But thru it all, in God we will rest.
Matthew: Another surgery? You've got to be joking.
ReplyDeleteMore doctors and nurses prodding and poking.
I hate to hear that, it's such a bummer.
But maybe he'll feel better by the end of the summer.
I know he's been through misery and pain
and being laid up and tired makes him insane.
Maybe it's a blessing in a cruel disguise
and everything will work out after three tries.
I'm sorry to hear it, it really must suck.
But we love you Papa Wayne and wish you good luck.
Matthew: I forgot one line so here it is:
ReplyDeleteOne more time will surely do no harm.
After all they say "Third times a charm"
Okay, I'm done.
In reply to Matthew: Ooohh, Matthew, you're quick. That's good and thank you for your thoughts
ReplyDeleteLove ya
Ashleigh: All rhyming aside, does this mean they're doing the same surgery again or they're going to leave him on the pacemaker full-time? How will that work with the machinery he's around at work? When is he scheduled?
ReplyDeleteMe in reply to Ashleigh: Yes, same surgery as before. You have to chase flutters in the heart and then zap them. Last time there was one flutter he couldn't catch., may be the same one-HA!
ReplyDeleteRight if it doesn't work, they leave it to the pacemaker.
Dr. says machinery at work won't harm it. It may pick up a signal (my word) from the machinery but as he walks away from it, it will go back to normal rhythm.
For now, surgery is scheduled for May 27th. Will know for sure in the a.m.
Mary Ann: i'm super impressed with the rhyming poem things. good job guys :)
ReplyDeleteit sucks that he has to do one more surgery, but hopefully this will finally be all over with and he'll get back to normal. i love you both so much!!
In reply to Mary Ann: Thanks, it's seems to be what I do when I'm sad or worried. I'm very hopeful this will do it, although he seems to be a little anxious. Rightly so! I do trust God will walk us thru this too, as He always has.
ReplyDeleteMark: I feel like I should say something here.
ReplyDeleteMaybe because the rest of my family said something here.
I can't rhyme that good, but hey, at least I'm trying here.
You'd think I'd at least use another word besides "here".
Hey, can someone pass me a beer?
Here's a to a successful surgery this time....CHEERS!
Me in reply to Mark: HERE! HERE!!
ReplyDeleteDianna: Dianna here and I'd like to say.
ReplyDeleteI wish him health in a major way.
I hate the idea of another operation.
He's sure to be the next machinery sensation.
With much anticipation we wait for the promise.
But with all the agony, comes no solace.
Health and healing we speak and believe.
But waiting seems so unending causing us to grieve.
God knows the end from the beginning!
Even when the hell the leaves our head spinning.
A HOPE and a FUTURE is the promise of God!
Once it is over we will all stand and applaud.
In reply to Dianna: oohh, Dianna, welcome to my blog. very good, girlie!! Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. Love ya
